May wrap-up!

Tue Jun 2, 2009, 6:15 PM
Yeargh it was a crazy month! From the Interdimensional Art Show, to forming Collected Worlds, to going down for Maker's Faire... tiring but well worth it.

Speaking of Interdimensional Art, I have uploaded a video of our models from that night:

Sorry its not amazing quality, I am a poor struggling artist and this was taken on my digital camera from the mezzanine because the floor was too full of people to get a clear view. It still gives a nice idea of the event, and better shows off some of the designs that you can see pictures of in my gallery.

I got to meet lots of new and old friends at the Carnivale Mechanique this last weekend! Here are some pictures I took:

some of the nice things I got to see down there were:

Tactical corsets! [link]

Rise of Aester! [link]
[link]

The Hennepin Crawler! [link]

Tom Banwell! [link]

Choklit! [link]

and last but certainly far from least...

St. Claire Areonauts! [link]

there was more, but these are the things that spring to my memory as worth linking to in case you haven't seen them already.

Of course there were the usual awesome suspects in the form of Jake VonSlatt, Datamancer, Steampunk Magazine, Etsy Steamteam, The Neverwas Haul, Nathaniel Johnstone, Deshret dance troupe, Tom Sepe's Steampunk Motorbike. the list just keeps going on and on and on!!!

here are a couple really nice photoblogs I have found:

I would just love that, I'm aiming for next year, and want to do steamcon the year after this!

You don't go to faerieworlds ever, do you? We're going to that this year and that's REALLY CLOSE to your area, it's up in Eugene, Oregon!

It's supposed to be fantastic, and I hope it is. I think it's 50 dollars for the weekend, but my booth was 550, so we will have to see if I make that back, fingers crossed!

You are the second person to link me to Tactical Corsets today.

I am disturbed, and amused. :)

Maker Fair was soooo much craziness. Looking forward to going back again next year.

I'm ready to go tomorrow again if there were another. Doris and I will be registering as Makers next year to show off our rolling masterpieces.

...the fact that those corsets actually will be capable of holding actual armor is...rather impressive.
