but phenomenal doesn't tell you that I've spent quiet along time pouring over the fine detail and artisan craft in this work of art. With such a small yet defining "description" to work with, your depth of imagination has created a timeless piece with this bass. You may be glad to hear that before I even read your image description, Jules Verne was already on my mind.
I'm well aware that precise measurements and placement of the instruments working pieces are required for this to be able to actually play music and I'm quiet awed that you've been able to include so much art on this without taking away it's functionality. When I imagine how the bass player responded to this, it gives me chills. Honestly.
Lastly, I also feel you've done an amazing job with the photography/setup of the photos. Hope to see more soon!
I am amazed by all the wonderful details you put on this, the perfect use of tones and shapes, giving the bass not only a steampunk/lovercraft feel, but overall a masterpiece of craftsmanship.
If the perfect execution was not enough, the whole concept (ha, the tentacles!) shows a great artistic vision, and I am sure when the bass player will use this on stage, everyone will be mesmerized by his instrument!
I would be glad and proud to play on such instrument
