A terrible creature to come across, the Skintunnelers got their name the old fashioned way, they earned it. It may take their eggs a couple weeks to gestate deep in the wound, so occasionally there will be an outburst of these around the skyports after a particularly wild and dangerous adventure.
The most disturbing thing is probably the shrill squeeking noises they make while still growing under the skin of the hapless victim. Many a traveler has gone quite mad due to the constant sound and pain when a doctor is unable to remove them in a timely fashion. |
