Underbridge Manor had been breached by the psychic network that call themselves the Bee People. That was back a few months ago during a dimensional particularity that caused a small singularity to begin forming in her subconscious.
She wasn't sure if it was true she had been fed the psychic jelly and had gone through an especially odd time where a psychic bee larva laid inside her had gone viral on the collective subconscious and caused all sorts of disturbances that had started to bleed into other realities.
Not that starting your own hivemind is a terrible thing per se. She just had a lot of other things to do and the hive made it tougher to focus on her work. Not only that, but since that Seattle already had quite a fine hive going, being viral caught the attention of the Hivequeen.
A constant battle began, one that she didn't even want to be a part of.
This had put her into a state in which she began to lose control of her dimensional travel, and as you must imagine that becomes dangerous rather quickly.
While she was traveling, she visited a great number of new parallel worlds, some completely uncharted by the Chordists, which meant she was essentially stranded in spacetimes she didn't know anything about.
Of course, she made it back to a relatively familliar version of Earth in the end, not quite Sax and Violins, but close enough for our intrepid heroine for now. At least she was back on charted territory again!
But this time, she would create a new defense against the Bee People back at her haven, Underbridge.
The old key wasn't useful to her any more, but maybe someone would want it as a decorative bauble?

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
