This is a great way for the smart gentlefolk of the cratered deserts to ensure health while traveling. The mask is recovered from a pre-apocalyptic design. The goggles were cut away from the old mask, and a custom wind-up Eldritch Catalytic Reactor was added where the now-useless old style filters used to go. The current design works by taking in the air and metering out a small amount of condensed dimensional plasma kept in a specially treated test tube. This plasma mixes with the air in a small chamber and any of the mutative particles that were released with the Elder Awakening are rendered harmless instantly!

As you know, dimensional plasma is harmful to humans in large doses, so try to keep your trip short!
