Design Twenty Twelveby ~porkshanks

Artisan Crafts / Jewelry

Abstract pendant design made completely from antique materials (minus the wire that binds it all together) that articulates my feelings toward the new beginnings that will be possible within four short years. There is much at stake, and those of the old world will claw their way down the drain, but if we remain resolute and united in our goal of seeing the next world rise, this is an opportunity for great beauty. Just as the parts from 3 different antique pocket watches that have ceased to function have found a new life in the from of this pendant.

The bead necklace is jasper, iron pyrite, and hematite, with carved bone accent beads.

I leave you with this thought: Twenty Twelve will not simply happen to us, we will have to happen to Twenty Twelve.
