Bevor Gorget Pattern by porkshanks Bevor Gorget Pattern by porkshanks
The arrows pointing up indicate the top of the part. The arrows pointing to the side indicate the forward facing edge. The back can be zippered or corseted depending on your preference. I did a zipper on mine cuz I'm lazy and shiz.

These are the sewing lines, remember to leave a 1/2 inch or 1/4th inch overlap when cutting them out.

I'd love to see people run with this design, please let me know if you use it and if you have any feedback, thanks! I made this for me, but if other people like it, I will be glad to post more patterns in the future.

have a great night, folks!

So I found your pattern and started to use it then kinda made my own lol. I needed some weird assymetrical stuff that I couldn't get by altering your pattern. However, it was inspired by this so I figured I'd give you a look anyway. :)

I am so going to make this! :)
Should be interesting though, as I have uneven shoulder, so the debt will be wither to just go with in, or pad the lower one up a bit so that it isn't noticeable.

Anthony has scoliosis, is your issue similar?

I have sewn for him, it throws the measurments off a bit and annoys me, but obviously its not his fault or anything... his is noticably sort of bad sometimes, especially if he bends over and you look at his back.

Yes it is.. Long story, but early this year I started have a few fitting issues as well, and noticed when I did my duct tape dummy that something look rather.. crooked. Fast froward to just the last few weeks, and I've been diagnosed as having scoliosis, with the doctors orders to come back in a year for more x-rays to make sure it isn't getting worse.. (I rather fear it is, as I've never had fitting issue or back problem before, and now I have mild back pain, and some of my old pattern just don't sit right anymore. :( ) Rather bothering to me, as I don't want to end up with a rod in my back.

hmmm I know what its like to have something be wrong about your body that you can't really change... its frustrating as hell sometimes, but other times, I am glad I was born this way because I have a perspective on life that many never will see... I wonder if there is some positive thing you could pull from this? Does anyone make fashionable clothes designed specially for people with scoliosis? I dunno if you would ever want to pursue such a thing, just tossing out ideas...

And Anthony doesn't have a rod, and his scoliosis is pretty noticable, and you're old enough that your bones shouldnt change too much... right?
